Pain Management

Acupuncture analgesia activates the endogenous opioid peptide system and thereby influences the body's pain regulatory system by changing the processing and perceptions of noxious information at various levels of CNS.

MUSCULOSKELETAL PAIN,   ACUTE

(very responsive to acupuncture)

Soft tissue confusion, Acute muscle spasm, Musculotendinous sprains and strains, Nerve entrapment radiculopatheis

CHRONIC PAIN

Repetitive Strain Disorders

Acupuncture in above listed indications can work either as primary or as secondary approach. Many patients who did not responded to medications nor physical therapy will respond quickly to medical acupuncture.

Preventive value of Acupuncture

Asthenic states, including ill defined fatigue, mild depression, stress related myofascial symptoms, diminished libido.

Autonomic dysregulation disorders - may manifest as anxiety, sleep disturbances, bowell dysfunction.

Immune dysregulations: recurrent infections and inflammatory states without underlying frank immunodeficiency etc.

Recurrent viral illnesses, bronchitis, sinusitis, gastroenteritis

 

Mental and Emotional Disturbances;
